Selling the sad share
and sobbing that it isn't fair.
Still just begging me to care.
Things that fall on broken wings,
or slashed out blood from lonely things,
still don't sing.
Their heart ain't got no ring.
To call it all just sad song,
to sing and dance and plod along,
to bend and break with the growing throng,
a tidal chorus "I don't belong"
But no one does.
It is just because.
You're still not the first
And this isn't the worst
But it would do you to mind
That you're wasting your time
With the ho hums
and doldrums
Of the self sad

Sometimes you surprise me, sometimes you disapoint me.
